Development technologist attended the International foundry conference and lectures in the field of metallurgy, presented by professors of Faculty of natural sciences and engineering. Janez Pristavec (Exoterm-IT d.o.o.) presented a simulation of core fabrication for the Knorr customer. The problem of core manufacturing was in the complex geometry and thus the poor filling of corebox. We solved the problem using acquired knowledge and insight into the core manufacturing process, with the help of stimulation. This was followed by a tour of stands of manufacturers and suppliers from the metallurgical industry. Amongst them were DISA group, Termit d.d., Koyama (BL metal), NovaCast (ATAS), TC Livarstvo d.o.o. etc. They presented their market innovation, which are achieving great progress every year.
